INTRODUCTION:

Elbe-Obst Erzeugerorganisation r.V. is a merger that was founded in 1968. Today it comprises about 450 North German producers of fruit that cultivate pome, stone, and soft fruit on an area of around 6,000 ha. Annual fruit production lies above 160,000 t on average, whereas the apple is the most important product. In order to bundle fruit production and marketing in the Altes Land region, Elbe-Obst Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH was founded in 1994.
